Roof Tech US is headquartered in Southern California and has a national sales team that can provide quality services to installers and solar panel distributors throughout North America. Since 1994, Roof Tech has been a pioneer in waterproof flexible waterproof panels. Its legacy is directly related to its parent company Yanegiken Technology Research Institute, which was established in 1968 to research and develop new roof technologies. Roof Tech's self-flashing solar mounts, such as RT-APEX and RT-MINI, are known for their efficient and fast installation.

Number of pieces: three to eleven, depending on the configuration. Tools needed: Six certifications: UL 2703,441, ICC ESR 3575, TAS 100, ASTM 2140,1970

Installation: Designed to be fixed to the rafters or directly to the roof terrace (minimum 7/16 OSB) or a combination of the two. Chalk lines are needed to draw the location of the base. There is no need to open the seal of the asphalt shingle because it is a self-flashing system certified by the International Code Committee. It can also be installed on EPDM, TPO and metal roofs. Since mounting screws with a diameter of 5 mm are used when fixing to the rafters, there is no need for pilot holes, and the caulking RT Butyl is self-sealing to create a waterproof mounting system.

Advantages: The operating temperature of the self-flashing bracket made of proprietary butyl rubber (RT Butyl) is between -40 F and 250 F, which exceeds the common sealants used for roofs. In the case of an asphalt roof (shingles), this method can speed up the installation time because it does not need to unlock the existing shingles seal. Because RT Apex is fixed with 5mm stainless steel wood screws, there is no need to drill pilot holes and pre-caulking.

Number of pieces: Two tools required: Five certifications: ICC ESR 3575, UL441, TAS 100, ASTM 2140, 1970

Installation: RT-MINI is Roof Tech's self-flashing mounting base, designed to connect to any traditional rail mounting system and accessories, including conduits.

Advantages: RT-MINI is a universal accessory designed to be independent of any roof type and roof slope, and can withstand wind speeds of up to 180 mph and ground area snow of up to 90 psf. The main difference between RT-MINI and traditional waterproof board is that the installation time is faster, because RT-MINI is fixed with wood screws, no pilot holes and caulking are needed. Therefore, the seal on the asphalt shingles is not damaged, so the roof warranty remains unchanged.

RT-MINI II has more options to install on rafters and to handle thicker insulating materials on low-sloping roofs. We now offer two 90mm screws and offset rafter mounting, allowing more connection options on any style of roof and slope. The new design uses less aluminum, making it a more efficient design that can reduce raw materials and reduce logistics costs.

How to install: PV Booster is mechanically connected to the flat C&I roof. The three main subsystems can be quickly installed by screwing our tripod (support system) to the mechanical attachment (included), bolting to the drive mechanism (actuator) and installing the h-frame (panel support). Then install the panel on the h-frame. The system is connected to our tracker distribution box (control hardware) installed on the roof in 30 or less strings. The 30-degree tilted vertical axis tracker significantly increases energy production, and a distance of approximately 1 foot is required between the panels for a full range of tracking motion to achieve this goal. A small wall-mounted control computer is installed in the mechanical/electrical room near the inverter to ensure that it can still work normally when the site loses Internet connection.

Advantages: PV Booster brings tracking to the flat C&I roof, and significantly improves system efficiency with a smaller footprint, thereby significantly reducing the LCOE of the project. PV Booster allows owners to use less equipment to generate more energy from each panel. Our system generates 30-40% more energy from each single-sided panel. PV Booster is also the best installation solution for double-sided modules, which can generate up to 70% more energy from double-sided panels. Use roof tracker PV Booster to produce more at less cost.

The modules are connected by a cable clamp/end clamp made of precision-machined aluminum, which clamps all 4 sides of the frame to achieve a firm connection. Supports horizontal installation and clamps 12 inches on long rails. The bucket has a built-in reference tab to help install modules.

How to install: S-5-PVKIT 2.0 can be easily plugged into any S-5! Fixtures or brackets. Eliminate railways completely. The disk with engaging teeth provides a ground path from the module to the module. The grab is fixed to the PV module frame by using a simple clamp and grab tool, thereby providing a continuous ground path without the need to install additional components along each module column.

PVKIT's pre-assembled components provide a simple, safe and economical way to "lay and use" modules. The PV module itself is a size ruler used to place subsequent accessories. Finally, screw the grab onto the module frame. No additional tools or steps are required. The inherent "free" rails (ribs and seams) of the roof avoid the need to add rail hardware.

Advantages: S-5-PVKIT 2.0 is a trackless connection solution, suitable for any metal roof type, through testing, design, directly connecting the module to the standing seam or exposed fastening metal roof. PVKIT uses high-strength, certified aluminum and stainless steel, eliminates the need for traditional guide rail methods, and provides considerable savings in the transportation and handling indicators of the photovoltaic installation system. You are using the rails inherent in metal roofs. Advantages compared with guide rails: 85% reduction in weight/incidental load; 70% reduction in components; up to 40% savings in hardware; up to 40% labor savings; 25% better load distribution.

Since 2007, SnapNrack's solar mounting products are designed to reduce installation costs, improve installation quality and safety. The SnapNrack roof and ground mounting system has a single tool installation, pre-assembled snap-in hardware, integrated wire management, integrated grounding/connection, and a Class A fire rating that meets the UL2703/UL1703 standard.

Number of pieces: 5 (rails, mounting parts, joints, intermediate clamps and end clamps) Tools required: ½" sleeve, all connections and accessories have impact gun certification: UL 2703 for grounding/connection, Class A fire rating type 1 and type 2 modules, UL approved module, stamped structural engineering report

How to install: The installation of SnapNrack Ultra Rail is very intuitive and easy to learn. After marking the array according to the design plan, Umbrella L Feet will use patented waterproof technology to prevent roof leakage and be embedded in rafters. The guide rail is clamped into the mounting seat with spring loading function, so that the guide rail can be easily slid and adjusted to the required position and height. Finally, place the panel on the rail fixed with SnapNrack's proprietary mid-end and end clamps because the wires are firmly embedded in the rail channel.

Advantages: The Ultra Rail profile creates a channel for the wires, which is not hindered by connectors or mountings. It does not rely on cable ties, which will fail over time, creating a chance of wire damage or worse. The spring-loaded bracket allows the rail to snap into place and release without tools, and slide easily before leveling and tightening. SnapNrack does not rely on T-bolts that may be bound or improperly installed and cause system failure. The roof penetration is protected by a patented taper waterproof function that extends above the bottom of the roof attachment and is sealed under a proprietary Umbrella Lag.

Number of pieces: 4 (mounting parts, connecting parts, skirts and gaskets) Tools needed: ½" sleeve, impact gun for all connections and accessories Approval: UL 2703 for grounding/connection, Class A fire class 1 And 2 types of modules, UL certified modules, stamped structural engineering reports

How to install: RL-U is designed so that each installation step is independent, and a single installer can install the entire system. The roof attachment is a Flash Track, which provides north-south adjustability, and is fixed with an Umbrella Lag through SnapNrack's patent-pending Umbrella Flashing. RL-U only needs one RL-U installation SKU, which is used in all positions on the array. The integrated RL-U skirt connects to the first row of mounts, creating a powerful structure for leveling and aligning the array. RL-U Links are clamped on the top of the modules to fix them in place, while providing row-to-row connections and connection points for 2-4 modules. A single installer can put the modules in place and fix them on the top without having to cross the modules to reach the roof.

Advantages: RL Universal aims to provide the fastest and most intuitive roof installation experience. The direct installation system has four basic components, no more than one module in size, so that materials can be easily managed. Features include integrated skirts for safe installation, stylish and beautiful, universal mounts for use in all positions on the array, and links that can accommodate 2-4 modules. Unparalleled installation offset and link adjustability eliminate installation and link interference. RL-U is the only trackless system that provides a labor-saving installation process, supported by leaders in the residential solar industry.

Number of pieces: 2 (SpeedSeal feet or SpeedSeal rails and lag screws) Tools required: ½" sleeve with impact gun for all connections and accessories. Certification: UL 2582 Wind Driven Rain Test and ASTM E2140 Water Column Test Standard, UL 2703 Grounding/bonding, Class A fire protection class 1 and class 2 modules, UL certification module, stamped with structural engineering report

How to install: The new SnapNrack SpeedSeal products SpeedSeal Foot and SpeedSeal Track allow installers to drag directly onto structural members without intermediate components, which greatly speeds up the installation process and eliminates shingles damage during the installation process. The simple installation process includes positioning the rafters, filling the sealant cavity, and securing to the roof. As SpeedSeal feet or SpeedSeal tracks are fixed to the rafters, SpeedSeal technology takes over the work, compressing the sealant into the cavities, shingle surfaces and hysteresis holes.

Advantages: SpeedSeal feet and tracks use fewer parts and tools to save installers time on the roof, while maintaining the integrity of shingles. In order to properly install the rigid metal waterproofing board, a pry bar needs to be used to "tear" the shingles and remove the nails. SpeedSeal Foot and Track eliminates this process, so the roof remains intact, as the roof manufacturer means, and installation is faster. SnapNrack's single tool installation tradition continues in these new SpeedSeal products with the same ½” sleeve.
